Isn't freestyle supposed to be incomprehensible?

Is freestyle just improvisation, or is there a certain logic to it? What can I try to keep my concentration high? What are the underlying techniques of freestyle, for example? Those are the questions I have in my mind, can you help with that?

I also dabbled in freestyle coding while working with blockchain for a while. At first, I started with completely improvisational coding, but when writing Smart Contracts, I felt trapped by limitations. Then I realized that what’s called freestyle is actually intuitive logic built through experience. I think the most important thing is to solidify the basics first to keep your focus sharp. For example, I once forgot everything when I got bogged down in Ethereum’s gas fees. What I did next was draw flowcharts on paper about gas optimization. Now, what I call freestyle is seeing the paths on that paper and mentally connecting the nodes. Maybe you can also create your own "templates" by going back to the root of the problems you first encountered.

Freestyle, in my opinion, isn't just improvisation—it's more like an art form of self-expression. If you look at it from a slightly technical perspective, there's an underlying sense of rhythm, the rise and fall of your voice, and the seamless blending of words. Over the years, I've learned that freestyle isn't just some "made-up" thing. For example, different styles are tried depending on whether it's acapella or to a beat—it's like the improvised version of lyrical music. To keep my concentration high, I usually start by clearing my mind—think of it as the "blank page" approach. For instance, taking five minutes to just breathe or listening to a simple beat helps get the brain ready. Then, if I have a recorder (even just my phone), I capture the first ideas that come to mind and develop them in the next step. So, discipline is key, but that discipline is already part of the nature of freestyle. As for the technical side, I think the most important thing is maintaining what we call "flow"—the continuity of the rhythm. This means synchronizing words, syllables, and rhythm. For example, when speaking too fast, you have to be careful not to swallow syllables, or else the listener won't understand anything. Also, techniques like wordplay or crafting sentences that aren't immediately clear but stick in the mind—like some freestyle artists do—are part of it too. Freestyle isn't one-dimensional; there are many subtleties beneath the surface.

Freestyle isn't just improvisation—there's actually a bit of technique to it. At first, I used to think, "Wow, everyone just makes it up as they go," but then I realized there are patterns and repetitions involved. Listening to lo-fi on Spotify really helps with concentration, and I’ve been trying it out too, bro.
