I'm looking to set up a tech monitoring routine that stays both relevant and low-effort. What criteria do you prioritize when selecting sources? Do you prefer aggregators, newsletters, RSS feeds, or other formats? How do you organize the collection, filtering, and sharing of information within a team? Tips for automating certain steps without losing analytical depth would be welcome. Your experiences and best practices will help me define a robust process. Thanks in advance for your feedback!

For sustainable monitoring in 2024, I prefer a combination of a web aggregator (e.g., Feedly) and targeted newsletters, but I compare them to an "intranet" approach: in teams where everyone has access to a shared wiki, RSS feeds can be automatically redirected to a Slack (or Teams) channel and then archived in the wiki. The main criterion for selecting sources remains thematic relevance (AI, cloud, mobile dev) and update frequency; I quickly eliminate overly generic blogs or promotional newsletters that inflate volume without adding value. For filtering, I use Zapier/Make to convert each article into a condensed summary via the ChatGPT API—this maintains analytical depth while reducing reading time. The summaries are stored in Notion with tags: technology, impact, implementation. Within the team, I share a Notion dashboard displaying validated articles, and I schedule a weekly reminder for each member to comment on points of interest. Compared to simply reading RSS feeds in a reader, this method keeps monitoring "time-consuming-free" while maintaining sufficient analytical depth for technical decisions.

I set up an RSS feed through Feedly and automated sorting with a Zapier Zap that sends articles containing the keywords "AI" or "blockchain" to a Notion database where the team comments and votes. This way, I spend just 30 minutes each morning filtering, and sharing becomes instant.
