I've been intrigued by this for a while: can someone explain in simple terms how liquid cooling in PCs actually works? I know it involves a closed loop with water or some liquid, but what components are involved exactly? How does it compare to standard air coolers in terms of thermal efficiency? I'm interested in understanding the physics behind it and whether it's worth making the jump from air cooling.

Ah, liquid cooling... that "water running through your PC" that scares me more than a loose cable on my training desk 😅 But anyway, to sum it up: it has a pump (to move the liquid), a cold block (that touches the processor), a radiator + fans (to expel the heat), and tubes (the "circuit"). In terms of thermal efficiency, it beats air cooling, but if it's an office PC, a regular heatsink might be enough... though where I practice, even that overheats! ❄️💻
