I always struggle with the screen choice when buying a laptop. Matte screens are great for not straining my eyes, but I give up because the colors look dull and there's less reflection. Glossy screens offer vibrant colors, but in office lighting, fingerprints and everything else are always staring back at me. Plus, touchscreen options are usually not available with matte. Which one do you prefer? Regardless of your use case, which screen type is a must-have for you?

I especially prefer matte screens when working in the office, honestly, I'd say there's no other way to prevent my eyes from getting tired. Most of my work is on Excel, Word, etc., and color accuracy isn't that crucial in the end, but it saves me from constantly having to look at a bright screen. I really wanted a touchscreen, but I've always compromised on that since matte screens rarely come with touch options.
A friend of mine switched to a glossy screen a while back. At first, the colors were amazing, but within a week, there were constant fingerprints and dust, and under the office's fluorescent lighting, it felt like looking into a mirror. Then he switched to a matte screen, and while he noticed the loss of vibrant colors at first, he got used to it and is now really satisfied. So, if you're not constantly on the move and color accuracy isn't super important, a matte screen has been a lifesaver for me.
