Once the engine position is locked in, connect firing order wiring and ECU hardware in the raw phase, since adding cooling systems (radiator, exhaust) later lets you fine-tune piping and flow. Save drivetrain alignment for last—set the clutch, transmission, and differential to torque specs, then verify rod end angles in final fitting. A common pitfall is V8 torque and weight overwhelming a chassis’s normal rigidity, leading to frame cracks or suspension oscillation. I always simulate weight distribution first: aim for 50/50 front/rear or a slight rear bias (55/45) for better traction and handling.
