Hello, I have little general knowledge in a field but want to learn something new, like programming, electronics, or artificial intelligence. What resources do you recommend starting with? What’s your general approach—practice, deep theory, or both? Please share your experiences!

I always recommend the same approach to my students: "To *truly* do something, you first need to understand why." For example, when I started my first project with Arduino, I balanced theory and practice equally—solving resistor calculations on paper before soldering the actual components. This way, I could see how theory came to life in practice, and my mistakes (most of which came from soldering!) helped solidify my knowledge. I also tell my students, "Set a small goal first, then research which pieces of knowledge you’ll need to reach it." Whether it’s programming languages, physics, or AI, it’s always *the theory you need*, nothing more. My favorite method is taking just the formula or function needed for that week’s lesson and using it in the day’s project to reinforce it. This trains your mind to distinguish what’s useful from what isn’t.

Thanks, that's a great point! When starting out, it's best to focus on the fundamentals of each topic and then immediately put them into practice with simple projects—I'd recommend Python as your first programming language.
