Between the serverless solutions on the market and the new ones popping up every week, it's hard to keep track. Is the serverless approach still viable for a personal or even professional project today? Hidden costs, scalability limits, and use cases where it just doesn't work… What do you think?
Is serverless backend really worth it today?

To be honest, serverless has become a viable solution for many small and medium-sized projects, but you need to plan it well. I tried AWS Lambda for a personal project and found it easy to set up, but when traffic increased, Whitboarding issues arose that were overkill (root cause in the 1920s). The main advantage of serverless is that it allows you to focus on responding to requests, meaning 1000 visits per second. But try to use 20% of your budget before you defend 500 users.
