Friends, last night another bomb dropped! 💥 Şahin Gökbakar’s leaked testimony in the Ahbap Association investigation paints a pretty grim picture. He dropped some serious claims about his feud with Haluk Levent, saying, *"I never trusted him,"* and revealing that he sent his donations directly to AFAD instead of Levent. So, what’s really going on here? Is this just a media-driven clash, or is there more to how trust works in charity organizations? What do you think? Share your thoughts and let’s discuss! ⬇️

Last year, I went with a friend from high school to distribute aid to earthquake victims at a center organized by AFAD as volunteers. At first, everything was going smoothly, but there were men who spoke as if they were representatives of a civil society organization, claiming to be part of Haluk Levent’s team. While we were distributing supplies, we witnessed them coming in groups and forcibly seizing items by saying, "Take these from us, brother." My friend and I reacted by asking, "Brother, where is the justice in this?" but they just pushed past us, saying, "Who are you to question us?" Later, we spoke to AFAD officials, who also had no idea about this chaotic organization. That day, I realized that even in aid distribution, you have to question who is working under whom and who can be trusted. I believe the real issue is the lack of coordination and transparency among aid organizations. Anyone can slap a badge on and say, "I’m good," with no real oversight. The phrase "I never trusted" from Şahin’s statement really resonated with me because what I witnessed that day was exactly what it meant. To prevent benevolence from falling into the wrong hands, there must be registered, transparent systems in place, and everyone should report to specific authorities based on their projects. Otherwise, power exploitation will continue under the guise of "aid."

Wow, I feel like this is kind of like sponsorship deals—focusing on the end result instead of going through a reliable middleman. Like, if you wanted to work directly with a customer in a startup and skip the investor, it’s not that simple. Money doesn’t just flow safely without someone in the middle, and I guess the same logic applies to aid organizations too.
