It's been about 3 years since I last used a desktop computer; I've been working solely with tablets and smartphones. Even when I try to use a laptop-style setup with a keyboard-cover accessory, something still feels missing. Do you find mobile devices or desktops more comfortable to work with? Which do you think is more efficient for long coding sessions, design work, or office tasks? For me, the biggest plus of mobile is being able to work anywhere, but what are the advantages of a desktop?
Which do you prefer more, mobile or desktop?

Last year, I was trying to live entirely on a tablet + Bluetooth keyboard combo, even adding a graphics tablet to the mix. It wasn’t bad for sketching or handling small coding tasks, but the moment I leaned in to watch a video titled *"I designed wheelchair wheels for 3 hours,"* my neck paid the price. And when working on Excel pivot tables for office tasks, the screen size meant constant scrolling. The worst part? Suddenly needing to present a project from my tablet during a client meeting, only to realize it wasn’t up to the task—so I had to pull a laptop out of my bag on the spot.
In the end, mobile devices are great for convenience and portability, but for long coding or design sessions, a desktop is non-negotiable. So now, I keep a Wi-Fi 6 router under my desk with an old laptop, using my tablet as a secondary screen. The key is balance: always have a laptop as a backup when mobile setups fall short.
