Recently, both specialized and general-purpose AI assistants have entered all our lives. While specialized models are trained in depth in a specific field (coding, design, analysis, etc.), general models can answer questions on any topic. Which approach do you prefer? Why? I've noticed that since I started using more specialized models, I've become much more efficient. For example, when I have an assistant focused solely on coding, it doesn't just answer my Python or JavaScript questions—it directly points out errors in my projects or areas that could be optimized. Plus, running some of these specialized models locally gives me peace of mind about privacy since company data doesn't have to go through cloud systems.
I only really use general models when I need to research broad topics, like asking for a summary of a new tech trend. But when it comes to specifics, both speed and accuracy improve, especially for long or complex tasks. Which type do you use more, or do you mix both?
