Guys, it's Friday today and the topic that confuses everyone: what time will the Friday sermon be read? 😅 I'm checking Diyanet's website, but it looks a bit confusing, especially for big cities like Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir—are the times different there?
I'm planning to pray today too, so I can't help but ask: what time are you guys planning to go? Or are you just waiting for the call to prayer to head out?
(Note: Let's discuss, let's not scare anyone away from religion 😂)
What time is the Friday sermon today? We all seem to keep missing the Diyanet calendar 😅

Turns out the Friday sermon is being read at different times in a few cities today, honestly. According to the Diyanet website, it starts changing from as early as 8:30 am. For example, in Istanbul it’s around 1:00 pm, in Ankara about 1:15 pm, and in Izmir around 12:45 pm. The best thing is to pick your city in the Diyanet mobile app and check the current time—that’s what I always do.
I go with the call to prayer so I know the verses and I’m on the same schedule as everyone else. When I’m unsure about the time on the calendar, I compare it with the adhan time, and it always saves me 😅
