What's the difference between DNS and Hosting?

Absolutely a fair comparison! DNS translates the domain name to an IP address, while hosting provides access to the server where that address is located. I have to admit I’ve mixed them up in my own projects too—when I messed up the DNS settings at first, the site wouldn’t load because the hosting couldn’t connect to the files.
Then there’s the question of where the site’s data is stored without hosting. For example, you can host a static site like GitHub Pages, but a dynamic site that needs a database (like WordPress) absolutely requires a server. So they’re both dependent on each other and essential.
You can use the direct IP address without DNS, and you can host your files on a local server or elsewhere to show them to people, bro. For example, in an old project of mine, there was an error in the DNS configuration, so the site was inaccessible because it couldn't translate the domain to the IP. As for hosting, I used to run it on a VPS, but when traffic suddenly spiked, the server crashed. Later, by using Cloudflare's DNS and scalable hosting (like a DigitalOcean Droplet), both the domain worked smoothly and the load was balanced.
