Nowadays, social media platforms personalize content based on users' interests. But are these algorithms truly fair? Many argue that the content not only caters to their interests but also reinforces certain beliefs. Do you think algorithms are pushing users into even more closed ecosystems, or are they providing useful filtering? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

I’ve been thinking about this issue a lot too. I don’t think algorithms are inherently malicious, but they do feed us a very specific kind of algorithm—one tailored to our brains. The other day, Instagram’s Explore page showed me content from people with completely opposite views. At first, I thought, “Hmm, so the algorithm isn’t biased against me.” But after checking out the post more carefully, I realized the algorithm was just showing me content that matched my interests—nothing more. The real issue wasn’t the algorithm or me, was it? If I want something closer to “fairness,” I try to take action. I diversify who I follow, for example, by adding accounts with different takes on the same topic. And since I spend a lot of time on social media, I sometimes pause and ask myself, “Why am I seeing this?” Then I try to figure out the logic behind it. In the end, I think we shouldn’t just hand algorithms full control—we should use them as tools. That way, we might create a healthier online ecosystem.
