I've noticed lately that my content isn't getting discovered as much as it used to. Do you think Instagram's algorithm favors well-known accounts? Do you think the platform's content distribution system is fair, or does it put new creators at a disadvantage? I'd love to hear about your experiences and any tips you might have!
Is the Instagram algorithm unfair?

Same here, it happened to me too, especially on weekends my discovery rate drops by half. The algorithm for new accounts can really be challenging.
Yeah, it might seem a bit unfair, but there isn’t a hard rule that says "verified accounts see everything." Even though I work on the backend, I’ve studied Instagram’s algorithm, and keyword usage and interests play a huge role. New accounts usually struggle on the Explore page because the algorithm tries to gauge engagement in those first few posts.
My advice? Keep your content quality high, engage directly with your audience (reply to comments, respond to DMs quickly), and keep posting consistently. I did exactly that with my hobby account while experimenting with a microservice in Node.js, and eventually, the algorithm adapted. Be patient—don’t expect overnight success.
