I’ve been comparing LinkedIn to Instagram over the past two years because AI’s advice has gotten so personalized—every post I see feels like a targeted suggestion, and sometimes I think, “How do they know that about me?” Beyond whether it’s opportunity or manipulation, the algorithm keeps feeding me relevant project suggestions, which stokes my appetite to expand the team—but every now and then I just shrug and say, “Eh, whatever.”
AI tells me to "Click to get started!" and LinkedIn hits me with "Sponsored Suggestion: Hire me!" 😅 I mean, I'm still the guy who writes "1998: Said hello to Windows 98" on my profile, so what else would you expect from a rookie retiree like me who's like "Trust AI recommendations, bro"? 🤖😂
