Recently, discussions about blockchain technology's decentralization have become quite common. Some sources present it as a system where 'trails' cannot be traced, while others question whether it's truly decentralized due to the control of mining pools. In your opinion, how decentralized can a blockchain really be? Is true decentralization even possible?

As with cash (which is decentralized but tied to real economies), public blockchains like Bitcoin or Ethereum are "theoretically decentralized," but mass adoption ultimately concentrates power in a few strong nodes, miners, or stakers. Pure decentralization would have to grapple with issues like scalability and security, where some control will always have to be sacrificed.
