Recently, some friends and I created our own Telegram bot through "BotFather," and that's actually when I started learning. When we ran the bot with a simple command, it felt like something magical was happening, but of course there's a lot going on behind the scenes.
I think the most important part is what they call the Bot API that Telegram offers us. Basically, you send HTTP requests directly to Telegram's servers to manage the bot. You get a special token, and by using it, you can send commands to your bot. For example, when a user types "/start," your code catches that command and generates a response. The security part is interesting too, because you shouldn't share your bot's token with anyone—otherwise someone could hijack all your commands. Before pushing our code to GitHub, we stored it in a .env file and made sure not to leave it exposed out in the open.
