The announcement of this standard is important, but so is how it will be implemented. Manufacturers will need to make significant adjustments on the hardware side, especially for 320 MHz channels. There will be changes in both chipsets and antenna layouts, which will drive up costs. Well, it seems inevitable that prices in the consumer electronics market will remain high, at least for the first few years.
We also need to be careful with MLO. While multi-link operation makes sense, real-world scenarios could face synchronization issues. Particularly in mobile devices (like those in cars or intercity bus Wi-Fi systems), there’s a risk of packet loss during automatic transitions.
