Haaaan! Don't underestimate watching videos, I'd say. The other night, I was watching the series finale in 4K and oh boy, what a ride. I started downloading that 8GB file, and I waited as long as a sudo apt upgrade takes. Then I literally had to downgrade to 1080p because my internet couldn't handle it. In the battle between quality and speed, speed always wins with mine.
But when it comes to ad-free, life changed for me when I switched to YouTube Premium. No more hours wasted waiting for those "5 seconds left" messages. Now I enjoy uninterrupted, ad-free, background playback day and night. I'd say it's worth the money because it saves you so much traffic...
