I've noticed that algorithmic restrictions have become even stricter lately. Some content gets restricted unexpectedly while others get pushed more. It's nearly impossible to figure out why certain things are restricted just by doing my own research. How much do you think this affects content creators' freedom? Are these restrictions limiting creativity or are they serving as a beneficial filter for society? Would love to hear about your experiences!
What impact do YouTube's restrictions have on content freedom?

I see the problem very similarly. Especially since the changes in June 2024, where suddenly even harmless tutorial videos or gaming Let's Plays were blocked without any apparent reason with "Invalid advertising identifier" notices, even though no ads were included. This has led to massive revenue drops for some of my clients because their videos simply weren’t monetized anymore—and the reasoning? Something about "repetitive or unoriginal content," even though the videos were unique.
Of course, YouTube wants to curb problematic content with stricter algorithms, but the side effect is that real creators—like artists, developers, or educational creators—are left in the dark about why their content suddenly becomes invisible. As a WordPress developer, this hits especially hard because we often post technical explainer videos or plugin tutorials—and those are exactly the ones falling through the cracks now. The platform is slowly turning into a maze of arbitrary rules, where even YouTube’s own help center provides no clear answers. The result? Many smaller creators either give up or resort to risky gray-area tactics just to maintain any reach at all.
