Man, I almost spilled my tea while watching the news last night! Özge’s “Why didn’t I know?” post was everybody’s talk yesterday evening. In my opinion, the most ironic thing about this is that Hilal still hasn’t made an official statement. Dude, I’ve seen similar gossip on a series set back in the day, and this kind of stuff happens a lot in our local pink dramas. But the claim that Özge left the set is really over the top—no one was prepared for that. After all, as Serkan’s wife, when you keep scrolling through these news bits, everyone ends up thinking, “What’s going on?” I find these set rumors way overblown; is a person’s private life supposed to be sacrificed for their acting career?
Forget about what happened on Hilal’s set! I used to shoot a series like that too, with a love scene that looked like it was filmed on a set recording. When I got behind the camera, I was laughing so hard those weeks that even the smooth talkers seemed believable! Then what happened? Whether the series ended or not, everyone started saying, “But they actually loved each other.” Honestly, the dialogue on set was so forced that you couldn’t tell which scene turned into reality.
But Özge’s reaction is normal, man. If yours blew up with “Why didn’t I know?” I also said in my statement that his spouse never talked to me about it, and I rewrote my fantasies.
