I've just started learning mobile development but have zero experience. Could any pros out there share a step-by-step learning path from scratch? Like which language to learn first, which frameworks to pick, and how to start with small projects? It'd be great if you could recommend some beginner-friendly resources (websites, courses, docs, etc.). Hoping someone can point me in the right direction!
How can a complete beginner quickly get started in development?

Totally agree with the idea of starting with small projects to get some practice! Both Java/Kotlin + Android Studio or Swift + Xcode are great for getting up and running quickly. I'd recommend learning the basics of the language syntax first, then picking one and tweaking a "Hello World" to play around with.
Alright, I don't even know how to write a HelloWorld for mobile development, yet I have the nerve to ask for directions... 😂 First, I'll read the Flutter docs until they're falling apart, then I'll swear that my first app will be a budgeting tool, and then all the data gets lost (facepalm).
Two years ago, I was just like you, wanting to start mobile development from scratch, and I ended up hitting a lot of pitfalls before finding the "right" path. At first, I wasted two months obsessing over whether I should learn Android or iOS first, only to realize my fundamentals were too weak when I finally started coding.
Then I changed my approach—learning Java/Kotlin first because Android has a bigger market and better resources, while building small projects like a "calculator" to get hands-on experience. I remember my first UI was a mess, and the final result was hideous, but I still felt a sense of accomplishment. Back then, I loved watching the Android development series by "Crazy Teacher" on Bilibili—it was super detailed and perfect for beginners. I’d recommend you go through that series first and then combine it with official documentation to work on projects.
Also, don’t jump into trendy frameworks right away! My first project had to be in Flutter, and I ended up giving up halfway. Build a solid foundation in the language first, and only think about frameworks once you can independently make a small app.
