You can think of iOS as being superior to Windows Mobile in the same way that Symbian was. Back in the day, Symbian was slow and provided fragmented updates, while iOS maintained stability and hardware-software synergy through a top-down, controlled approach for many years. Android, on the other hand, stems from the Linux kernel, offering kernel-level freedom that results in a fragmented variety lacking cohesion between devices.

The most tangible advantage I see with iOS devices is that they receive major updates for at least 5 years. With Android, the same support period varies depending on the manufacturer—some models stop receiving updates after just 2 years. This directly affects the lifespan of a device in IoT integration. As for the games I play, I haven’t found an Android model that matches the screen quality and touch sensitivity of the iPhone. But more importantly, most developers optimize their games for iOS. That’s why I often use an iPhone as a test device for new projects every few months—stability and performance come first. Of course, I don’t deny Android’s advantage in customization, especially when testing various prototypes in IoT hardware.
