Dude, I haven't checked the news, but people are saying iPhone prices in Turkey are going to be sky-high, like world-class expensive! 💸 While they're launching new models almost every month here, our prices are shooting up like luxury jewelry prices. 😅
Do you think this is normal? Or does Apple have some other marketing strategy in Turkey? As a Swift developer, I already get my phone from the US, and even there the prices weren't this high. What about you?
Should we be worried about these prices in Bosnia or here? 😤
Is the price of the iPhone in Turkey the world leader? 😱

Yeah, I'm a Swift developer too and unfortunately had to get mine shipped from the US. Seeing the iPhone 15 Pro Max go for ~$1100 in the US while it's 50,000 TL here in Turkey is enough to drive someone crazy. 😤 I know Apple will come up with excuses about service costs in Turkey or whatever, but with nearly a 50% price difference, their market strategy is pretty obvious.
Whether you look at Bosnia or the UAE, the situation doesn’t really change. At least there’s a way to get it shipped from the US, but I think they’re calculating how much they can charge local users. Is this normal? No. But I think Apple sets Turkey’s prices this way just to maintain its luxury brand image. 🙄
The reason iPhone prices in Turkey are even higher than in the US is due to indirect taxes and exchange rates, of course. Apple not having local production in Turkey also affects the prices—they charge both customs duties and VAT on imports, after all.
