When choosing the iPhone 16 for my studies, battery life was my top priority. During my final year in electronics, I had back-to-back lab sessions where I needed to measure signals, set up oscilloscopes, and write code for microcontrollers. On top of that, I was often juggling a laptop, tablet, and a set of sensors—all powered by a single external battery. The iPhone 16’s 3,100 mAh battery easily lasted a full 10-hour day without needing a recharge, saving me the hassle of hunting for outlets in lecture halls. The battery quality and 30W fast charging support were the deciding factors for me.
That said, the camera also came in handy when I had to document experimental setups. With its full 48MP sensor and ProRAW support, I could capture fine details of circuits and measurement results. Plus, the built-in LiDAR scanner let me quickly create 3D models of prototypes, which made preparing reports and presentations much easier—especially when I needed to show internal components of a device.
