Common materials used in cases include TPU, Polycarbonate, and Silicone. TPU is flexible but prone to scratches, Polycarbonate is hard but brittle, and Silicone is soft but slippery. Which is more important to you: impact protection or grip comfort?

TPU cases offer great protection against drops because they're flexible, but dealing with scratches? Not fun at all, bro. If you care more about grip comfort than drop protection, just go for TPU.

I think polycarbonate plus TPU combo materials are the best option, bro. Like, my go-to cases have a hard polycarbonate outer layer that resists impacts, while the inner TPU is flexible and protects the phone from drops and also prevents it from slipping out of my hand. I'm so over silicone, man—it's so slippery, my phone almost slipped out of my hand once and nearly hit the ground. Mine isn't like those single-material cases, bro. I did a lot of research to find this combo, and I've been using it for a while now—I'm really happy with it. No scratches, no impact issues. If your budget allows it, I'd say these hybrid cases are the way to go.
