In my experience, a power bank between 10,000 and 20,000mAh is enough to keep a smartphone and tablet charged for a full day without needing to recharge it. If you also want to power a lightweight laptop, it's best to go for 20,000-30,000mAh (or more) to get at least two full charge cycles. As for output specs, look for USB-C ports with Power Delivery (PD) that offer 5V/2-3A for basic charging, 9V/2A or 12V/1.5A for fast tablet charging, and 20V/2-3A for USB-C PD-compatible laptops. If you prefer traditional cables, QC 3.0 ports (5V-20V, up to 3A) are also very useful. To assess efficiency, check that the battery-to-output conversion is over 90% and that the device includes protection against over-voltage (OVP), over-current (OCP), and short-circuit (SCP); these are key indicators of safety and durability. I’ve tested the Anker PowerCore+ 26800mAh with 45W PD, and despite daily use, the battery still holds over 80% of its original capacity after several months—precisely because its management circuit is very robust.
