What do you think about the Realme brand from a perspective point of view? Some call them "cheap Chinese clones," while others defend them as "budget-friendly quality." They offer everything from small-screen models to battery life, design to performance, all in one package. So, what do you think are the pros and cons of Realme? What do you predict about the future of this brand?

I’ve used the Realme 8i before—even though it had some minor issues, it held up pretty well. Back then, I worked in an office in an apartment building where Wi-Fi channels were crowded, and I kept experiencing constant drops on the 5GHz band. With the standard Realme interface, syncing with the neighbor’s heavy 5GHz traffic made signal drops frequent. Still, since they’d tweaked Oppo’s ColorOS a bit, the 5GHz band was more stable than expected. Eventually, I manually changed the channels, and it stabilized, but you can’t expect that out of the box. As for the downsides, the back had a plasticky feel, and the display was set to 60Hz by default despite supporting 120Hz. Even with that cupcake-style design, the fingerprint reader was painfully slow. On the plus side, the charger was 67W, so the 5000mAh battery charged to full in just 25 minutes. For the price, the performance was on par with the Snapdragon 778G, even with the MediaTek Helio G96 inside. Looking ahead, I think Realme will stay strong in the Indian and Southeast Asian markets, but in the Western market, they won’t stray too far from Oppo/Huawei’s hardware expertise. As they push harder on GPU optimizations, they’ll leave behind those cheap eMMC-based phones.
