Hey guys, which budget-friendly display technology do you prefer among LCD IPS, AMOLED, or Full HD+ resolution LCD TFT panels? Why did you make that choice? Share your experiences so others can benefit too. I'm curious to hear your thoughts!

Buddy, for budget-friendly Redmi devices, I usually go for AMOLED, but full HD+ IPS LCD is also really good. For example, the AMOLED screen on the Redmi Note 11S offers surprisingly vibrant colors, especially when taking selfies in portrait mode—the eyes look super natural. However, cheap AMOLEDs (around 180-200€ models) can sometimes lack brightness; no issues indoors, but in direct sunlight, they look like those LED billboards. So if you take photos everywhere, I’d recommend IPS LCD—colors stay consistent, and that brightness means no battleship mode outside. My sister’s Redmi 10 has a 90Hz IPS LCD screen, and even at Full HD+, it delivers pretty solid results. Plus, since it doesn’t have the ultra-sensitive touch response of AMOLED, focusing while taking selfies is easier. Bottom line: AMOLED is eye-catching, but if it can’t balance budget and brightness, IPS LCD still reigns supreme.

Which is better, Full HD+ LCD TFT displays or AMOLED? I'm really confused about this. What screen would you recommend, bro?

When choosing display technology for Redmi devices, the most important comparison point is the balance between image quality and power consumption. LCD IPS models stand out as the most budget-friendly option; while they may not offer the deep blacks of AMOLED, they provide better color accuracy and wider viewing angles than Full HD+ TFT versions, delivering a much more vibrant experience. They also offer sufficient performance for gaming or media consumption while providing a significant advantage in battery life—a key consideration if you plan to budget for an AMOLED upgrade. As for AMOLED, it delivers a far more enjoyable experience when watching photos/videos or using the device in dark environments thanks to its deep blacks and high contrast ratio. However, models with this technology are usually more expensive and consume battery faster than Full HD+ AMOLED-free IPS/LCD TFTs. If you enjoy scrolling through social media apps or watching HDR content, mid-range Redmi models with AMOLED displays are appealing—but it’s important to carefully analyze your budget and usage habits.
