I'm curious, how do Xiaomi Redmi series phones generally perform in terms of performance and durability? How suitable are these devices for mid-range users? Also, how is the battery life during long-term use?

In the Redmi series, it's more accurate to say "lying in the middle stream" instead of "mid-range," because you literally can't see the giant wave coming up behind you 😂. As for the battery, it lasts as long as a lethargic elephant's yawn.
Here’s my personal take. About three months ago, I got the Redmi Note 12 Pro+, and I’d say it’s a top-tier mid-range device. With the Helio G99 chipset, it handles multitasking and mid-level games (like Genshin Impact and COD Mobile) at nearly 60 fps—though I’m not pushing it to the max, just a solid mid-tier experience. I haven’t had any major heating issues; it just gets a little warm on the back panel during long gaming sessions, but performance stays consistent.
As for battery life, the 5000 mAh keeps it going for about two days with moderate use (scrolling, Reddit, Spotify, WhatsApp). Fast charging is solid too—30W gets it from 0 to 100% in an hour, which is more than enough for me. After long-term use, the battery’s still holding around 80%, so durability is great.
