Flexible display technologies have advanced a lot in recent years, but how practical are they in real-world use? For example, do foldable screens have issues with the folding area after prolonged use? And compared to standard devices, how much shorter or longer is the lifespan of these kinds of devices? Do you think this trend will continue, or will it fade out after a while?
Do folding screens really work?

I've been using the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 for about a year now, so I've got some experience with foldables. Have you had any long-term screen issues? Well, at first there was a tiny crease, but the screen itself has become quite durable, and mine is still going strong. Of course, I'm careful when I look at it or clean it, and I avoid touching it with anything hard, etc.
As for the device's lifespan, I don't think it'll last as long as a standard phone because there's a mechanical hinge that's constantly moving. Mine is holding up, but the warranty has expired, so if it starts having issues in the next 2-3 years, I won't be surprised. As for the trend, I don't think it's going out of style anytime soon—big manufacturers are pouring money into it, so it'll keep going. But as long as cheap foldables don't hit the market, they'll remain a luxury for the average user.
