What should be prioritized in devices with foldable display technology? After battery life and screen protection, what is the most considered factor? Similarly, what can be done to improve durability in clamshell designs? In general, what is users' approach towards such devices?

I had the same thing happen with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 last year, when I finally decided to take the plunge into foldables. The first thing I did was get a hard case with reinforcement on the hinges, because honestly those early foldable models would bend like churros if you dropped them on their backside. Then I realized that the battery, even though it’s rated at 4400 mAh, in real use with the screen open only lasts a little over six hours of browsing — nothing spectacular. I solved it by always carrying a 10,000 mAh power bank in my pocket, though the ones that weigh like a brick but hold up. The screen is another story. The first time it fell on the table and the cover got completely scratched, I panicked, but then I saw that a 0.3 mm anti‑shock TPU film cuts the risk a lot — you do have to replace it every two or three months. And regarding the durability of foldables, the most important thing is not to force the mechanism: if you slam it shut, the side buttons get misaligned the next day. I always charge the phone to 80 % and power it down once a week so the hinges don’t suffer.
