It's time to get a tablet for my daughter, now both girls and boys are getting tablets. But what features should I look for? What screen size should it be, is battery life important? How does the child lock feature work, is it necessary? Would it be better if it was the same type as the ones used at school? Do tablets need a screen protector, or is the original better? Can you share your experiences and recommendations? I usually use a smartphone but have no experience with tablets, I'm a newbie in this area 😅
What should we consider when buying a tablet for an 8-year-old child?

The ideal screen size for an 8-year-old is 8-10 inches, and the battery should last at least 6-8 hours, I'd say. When it comes to protecting kids, parental control systems are the most effective, no doubt. If you don't go with the same brand as their school, you might constantly run into compatibility issues. Also, if the screen protector comes with the original case, I'd recommend getting a separate film instead.
