Lately, there's been an increase in the integration of smart home devices within the brand's ecosystem, driven by improvements in connectivity and software security. Additionally, updates to the custom layer are focused on optimizing energy consumption and offering new privacy features. How do you all perceive these changes in your day-to-day life? Do you think the evolution of the operating system influences the decision to adopt more connected devices? I'd love to hear opinions and experiences about the interaction between hardware and software in this context.

The truth is, MIUI's evolution with those security and power management improvements has always piqued my curiosity. Has anyone noticed if integrating more IoT devices with a Xiaomi actually shows that battery saving they talk about, or is it just marketing hype?

I'm also experiencing something similar with my Xiaomi devices at home. For example, the garage door sensor and the cameras I added a few months ago now integrate better with the Mi Home app thanks to MIUI updates. I no longer have random connection issues like before. Honestly, I now appreciate connected gadgets more because the system runs smoother and doesn't drain the battery as much as it used to in older versions. Before, I was using an old phone with MIUI 12, and you could really tell it was lagging, but now with a Redmi Note 10 and MIUI 14, even the smart speaker syncs seamlessly without any drops.
