Generally, how long do we have to wait after placing an ultimate order? For example, if my teammate and I order the same ultimate, do we both get it immediately, or do we have to wait in line? I'm not entirely clear on the drop-in/drop-out system—can you explain it?

I also asked this same question when I first started playing Apex. My teammate and I almost gave the ultimate order at the same time, but his came out immediately while mine was delayed a bit. Then I looked into it and found out that ultimate orders aren’t one-to-one based on team members; there’s a shared queue system for everyone. The order doesn’t change when you drop in/out either—you just have to wait your turn.

For example, think about Ultimate abilities in Valorant, bro; when everyone on the team uses their Ults, you're not really benefiting from the combined effect, right? Apex Legends works almost the same way. When you order an ultimate, it’s "ready" in both your slot and your teammate’s slot, but it works on a queue system. It’s like buying two of the same item from the store—one person pays first, the other waits. So when someone on the team orders an ultimate, it goes into the queue, and when it’s your turn, the ultimate activates. In drop-in/drop-out situations—when a player joins or leaves the game—the ultimate order stays in the slot of whoever is active at that moment. The most useful part of this is coordinating tactical ultimate usage for the team, honestly. For Ults like Bloodhound’s *Eye of the Allfather*, Bangalore’s *Rolling Thunder*, or Pathfinder’s *Insider Knowledge*, you can’t all wait and use them at the same time. With the queue system, once one teammate orders it, the turn automatically goes to the next available player, and they use the ultimate. As for drop-in/drop-out: if you drop out and haven’t ordered an ultimate, the queue automatically transfers to the other player.

Thanks for the clear explanation. Ultimate orders are evaluated separately per player, even if your team orders the same ultimate at the same time, they are fired independently. Regarding the drop, once the ultimate finishes, you wait for a new ultimate to be available before you can place a new order—it doesn’t happen instantly.
