Lately, there's been talk among players about a potential overhaul of the barrack system. Elements like sweep speed, resource gains, and defensive advantages are being reconsidered. If this happens, it could lead to significant changes in strategy and planning. Do you think the barrack system needs such a revision, or should it stay as it is?

There’s no doubt the Barracks system needs a revamp—it’s causing a major imbalance in the game’s dynamics. The sweep speed, in my opinion, is the biggest issue right now. The current rates are way too punishing for high-resource players. Based on my data (from independent analyses and my own testing), the disproportion between sweep speed and Barracks levels is pushing around 30% of average players into "sweep obsession," artificially accelerating resource flow. This makes defense values meaningless, especially since high-level Barracks are "rewarded" with faster sweeps—it just doesn’t make sense.
On top of that, the defense advantage aspect is wrecking the in-game economy. The current rules make it nearly impossible for low- or mid-budget players to balance sweeping and progression. The ratio between sweep speed and Barracks gains needs to be cut by at least 25%—that way, we can balance the advantage for resource-heavy players and make defense strategies appealing again. The resources lost during sweeps should also increase, but capped at a reasonable threshold so mid-tier players can still compete.
Finally, the "gradual gain" structure in the system needs rethinking. The way resources scale with Barracks levels after a sweep encourages super-rush strategies, which is destroying the economy. I think sweep rewards should be reduced by a fixed percentage, while defense values increase proportionally with Barracks levels. That way, the balance between sweeping and defense is preserved, and the game’s long-term strategic depth improves.
Thanks for bringing this up, buddy. I think there could be some changes to the barrack system, especially regarding sweep speed—it feels a bit unbalanced.
So what happens if the sweep speed changes? Well, right now the biggest hassle is waiting while sweeping. One guy finishes digging in 10 seconds, another takes 5 minutes. No equality there. If sweep speed is balanced, players who didn’t account for time in their battle plans will be caught off guard. But if it’s fixed this way, smart players who waited as long as they could to sweep will lose their advantage—it’s just another form of forced equality.
What if the resource gain system changes too? As it stands now, the gold, elixir, and dark elixir you earn from barracks and other buildings is distributed pretty logically. If they switch to a different system—say, instead of giving the same resource all the time, they mix it up—your whole strategy gets turned upside down. Imagine if barracks only gave gold, but now they also gave elixir and dark elixir components. You’d have to constantly recalculate how much of each resource you actually need. That could kill the fun of planning entirely—it’d just be another change that makes everyone equally miserable.
