Last meta freeze cards are always pushing for more aggressive plays, which leads to constant 1v1s in matches and a lot of losses. Do you think relying heavily on freeze combos in point competition forces a small number of winners to keep playing repeatedly? Or is the ability to choose freely just part of the game’s natural flow? Where should the balance be?

Sticking so rigidly to freeze combos seems to help those who struggle to find a middle ground. I ran into a similar situation in Beat Saber—especially on the harder levels, using freezes would boost your score, but constantly losing would drain the fun. In my opinion, the best approach is to treat the freeze combo as just a comfortable escape plan: push ahead as much as you can keep the tempo, but try to give your opponent less time to react to your freeze set. Instead of using the same strategy every match, it’s smarter to adjust how much freedom you give at each tempo with obstacles.
You also need to shift your perspective on the game. If you keep entering 1v1s and losing, it means your opponents are more flexible against freezes. I experienced something similar in Half‑Life: Alyx; the AI would adapt if you kept attacking with the same weapon. Same principle here—keep freezes as an option in your toolbox, but be extra careful when they don’t contribute to your main strategy. Once you find the balance, both your score and enjoyment increase; adaptation matters more than sheer determination.
After opening a new account, I played with both aggressive and controlled freezes, and once I found a balance between the two, I started winning matches much more easily.
The constant aggressive release of Freeze packs is getting to me sometimes too; I get stuck in matches and end up stuck on 1v1s. The rule that winners in the point competition have to play again also feels like an unfair pressure.
