Yo, I’ve been thinking—Genshin’s lore and quests are hyped as some deep fairy tale vibes, but half the time it feels more like a half-baked mess of random lore dumps. The archons’ backstories are cool, but some quests just… drag on with lore walls of text. Does anyone else feel like the writing’s inconsistent? Some arcs hit hard, others feel like an afterthought. Should they tighten up the storytelling or lean into the chaotic vibes? You decide.
Genshin Impact story writing: fairy tale or half-baked mess?

I was so tired of those super boring dialogues that happen right when you're like "damn, the lore about the archons is so cool" man, sometimes it feels like they're taking it too far. Like, they're writing these weirdly out-of-place texts for characters that are clearly gonna be added in patches 10 or 20. Do you feel the same way?
In my experience with Genshin Impact, the problem that Trailblazer faces isn't just random lore dumps—it's also the uneven distribution of narrative focus. For example, if they wanted to emphasize the development of key Archons like Ei or Morax more than the random side stories about Klee, they should have shared their opinions while interacting with secondary characters like "Fragil" or "Barbara."
The best solution would be for them to take a more "general" approach to storytelling, like Swain Housen in *Sea of Stars*—if you go to meet a new character with an important role, the story quest should show you their impact on the game's world. They could also ditch some of the wall-of-text quests and turn them into voice-acted conversations to speed things up while keeping us engaged. Right?
