Do you prefer old classic systems or refreshed modern ones? Why? Like, shutter count or permanent damage? Honestly, people always praise the old system on the forum, what do you think? Waiting for your comments, fellas.

My Knight Online adventure has all been with the renewed system, to be honest, so I've been playing for about 4-5 years now. Back in the day, I constantly heard praises for the old system on forums, but I really got into the permanent damage system. For example, a +1000 damage I did at level 70 is now permanent, so I can use it comfortably on bosses without worrying about cooldowns or anything. Sure, the old instant system had its advantages, but I was tired of constantly waiting for triggers. With permanent damage, it's much more relaxed. Honestly, I think the modern system makes the game more fluid, especially with the crafting and city area updates, you can spend a lot more time on them. In the old system, you needed to find 20 people just to set up a buff system, now you can do it comfortably with just a duo. So, from my experience, the new system feels more flexible to me. What do you guys think?

Knight Online system comparison made me think of the popular game Lineage 2, as both are known for their deep systems in the MMORPG category. When we talk about old classic systems, we can think of Knight Online's old stance system; I think its advantage here is simplicity and quick response. In this system, which doesn't require much calculation, battles are more instantaneous, allowing players to rely on their reflexes. But of course, it had its flaws; for example, crit-less and instant-result systems could sometimes feel like incompetence. When it comes to modern systems, I'm referring to things like the permanent damage or the revamped stance system added to Knight Online in recent years. The advantage here is balance and depth. In the permanent damage system, the damage players take can now leave marks on the body instead of simply "killing/saving," which strengthens the foundations of a strategy game. Modern stance systems, while being more fluid and user-friendly, can somewhat diminish that simple satisfaction from the old system. In short, reflexes were key in the old system, while strategy and planning are crucial in the modern one. Which one you prefer is up to you, guys.

In Knight Online, the difference between old and modern systems is directly tied to the quality of gameplay. Old systems, like the snapshot system, gave players instant gratification but also brought constant stress of finding teammates and parties. The modern persistent damage system makes battles meaningful; a single mistake can seriously impact a character's progression, forcing players to think strategically. In the old system, everyone had an equal chance, which was appealing, but it also meant starting from scratch. In the modern system, character progression is deeper; stat distributions and skill systems offer more flexibility in choices. Plus, it puts more responsibility on players for efficient resource management. Comparing the two, the old system is about nostalgia but security, while the modern system balances risk and reward. Which do you prefer, mates?
