Which activities make the most sense for quick progression in MyCareer mode? Are on-court workouts or training sessions more effective? What’s the most efficient way to boost player knowledge—playing matches or doing skill drills? Any advice?

Great question! I always thought drills helped, but I'm not sure if matches are more important for quick growth. Maybe splitting time between both would work best?
I've been grinding MyCareer for about 30 hours across two different saves, and the difference between the two approaches is night and day. The first time, I went full simulator—just played games, assuming my athleticism and IQ would rise organically. After 10 games, I was still a stiff jump-shooter who barely broke 70 OVR.
On the second save, I locked myself in the gym for two weeks straight, maxed out every drill until the stamina bar stayed green for a whole drill set, then slid into pickup games only when I needed court time for close-range buckets. By the All-Star break, I’d climbed 12 overall points faster than my first save at the same point, and the badges were already gold in Pick & Roll Finisher and Close Shot. The takeaway: drills stack OVR boosts you can’t get anywhere else, but you still need live minutes to translate them into real-game habits.
