Is crafting or buying from the market more profitable in New World? What do you think?

I recently dove deep into New World's crafting system and realized it's way more profitable than old-school market shopping. For example, crafting at a certain level not only earns you money but also upgrades your gear quality. But constantly gathering materials and producing can get tedious sometimes. In my clan, most people focus on crafting, but there are a few who just buy directly from the market. Which do you think is more profitable and efficient in the long run? Or is a mix of both the best approach?

Man, I think the decision between crafting and buying from the market really depends on where you're spending your money. I started by buying from the old-school market too, but eventually I was like, "Screw it, I'll craft my own stuff." For example, when I switched from the Woodland Explorer set to the Craftsman set, I realized that gathering materials myself gave me a 30% higher profit. But to avoid constantly sourcing materials, I bought cheap stuff from automated vendors for textile crafting (like Oswell’s leather shop). So, if crafting is profitable, get your materials from crafting too; otherwise, even if you buy from the market, you’ll end up losing money. But don’t forget about the boredom factor, bro. If you're gonna start crafting, check the material list for each piece of equipment at its crafting level to set your goals. Like, if you're leveling up crafting to improve weapons, you can grind money by crafting until level 20+, but buying materials directly from the market is both more expensive and the equipment quality is always 1-2 points lower than crafted gear. So, our clan focuses on crafting and only uses the market for "emergency materials." You should balance your crafting progress and use the market strategically too.
