Hey everyone. The release of New World has reignited the debate over whether MMORPGs are dead. Back in the day, we had world PvP, massive groups, treasure hunts, and so on—so what have we lost now? Or are we just gradually changing? What do you think, buddy? Some say the definition of an "MMO" has changed, while others claim there's just no content left. Is this revolution nonsense or innovation?

Personally, I think discussions about the "death of MMOs" are outdated. New World didn’t change anything—it just shook up the pyramid structure that older MMOs overbuilt. It’s not that "the world changed," but rather "a new world emerged." Lately, I’ve noticed that old MMOs had way too much pressure like "You gotta do everything or you’re missing out!" But now, there are more games where you can enjoy things at your own pace, and it feels more free. For example, a friend of mine has always played MMOs, but with New World, he loves just slowly adventuring with his community. There’s no weight like "You gotta get stronger!" so it feels more natural to keep playing now. The point is, it’s not that "MMORPGs are dead," but that they’ve evolved with the times. Isn’t it fun to explore new ways of playing?
