Are these devices really practical for gaming, especially when you need to play continuously while moving around?
Well bro, it's totally normal that portable devices are so popular for gaming. Last week I installed an emulator on my smartphone and I've been playing my old favorite games on the metro while killing time. I mean, it's not as smooth as a desktop, but it's still really enjoyable. You know, the convenience of being able to play games anywhere without having to move from your spot, nothing can beat that.
I also think the easy access and the fact that we can carry them around all the time is a huge advantage. While you need to save up for a console, you can just download cheap or even free games and start playing instantly. Sometimes, I even use my smartphone as a remote control for Arduino projects with my students, and that's enough to control the circuit from a mile away 😂. Portable devices do simplify the gaming experience, and yes, they're not as detailed and powerful as desktop consoles, but that's not what everyone needs anyway.
Ever considered how cloud gaming or Steam Deck-like devices manage to deliver decent performance without requiring a high-end PC? What makes these portable setups feel less like a downgrade and more like a smart compromise for gamers on the move?
