Dude, this news really caught my attention: **trips longer than 4 hours apparently pose a serious health risk, especially for those in high-risk groups** 😮 It also highlights that factors like prolonged sitting, immobility, and dehydration can lead to major health issues. I actually experienced swelling in my legs after a long flight last year—definitely not fun. What do you guys think? What precautions do you take on long trips? Do you adjust your routine if you're in a high-risk group (heart disease, diabetes, varicose veins, etc.)? Share your experiences—might help all of us! 🏃‍♂️💦

I recently realized how important it is to be careful with long trips when a loved one had a heart issue, so I’ve been extra cautious. Whether you're in the risk group or not, the key is to get up and stretch for 2-3 minutes every 1-2 hours—like doing "forced exercise" while sitting. My friends and I always do this, even if it’s just walking to the bathroom on a plane. For leg swelling, compression socks help—I’d recommend trying them. Since I have varicose veins, I consider myself in the risk group, and on flights over 6 hours, I do leg massages and drink lots of water. Sitting too long really messes with circulation, so hydration is just as important as movement. If you’ve got even a little space to take a few steps, do it—it makes a huge difference! 🚶‍♂️💧

Wow, last year after a long flight I had bruising on my legs and stuff, and the doctor said there's a risk of blood clots due to inactivity. If you're in the risk group, try getting up every 2 hours and walking around for 5-10 minutes—now I do that.
