Let’s share our experiences and find safer methods together!

Last month, while staying at my grandfather’s house in the village, I had the same nightmare. One evening, as I was sitting in the garden, I heard a strange noise—a tick had latched onto my ankle! I quickly pulled it off, being careful not to crush it. My grandfather told me, *"These creatures are everywhere now, spreading more and more,"* explaining how climate change was contributing to the situation. I washed the tick with soap and water, dressed the wound, but three days later, I developed a fever and rashes all over my body. I went to the hospital and got tested for Crimean-Congo fever, but the results were negative. Still, the whole experience really shook me. Now, whenever I go out in rural areas, I make sure to wear pants with tight cuffs, avoid wearing jackets, and thoroughly check my body for ticks when I get home.
