What types of movies are drawing the biggest crowds in theaters these days? Big-budget action fests, character-driven dramas, or indie films? When you go to the cinema, what’s your top priority—script, director, cast, or marketing? Is it smart for studios to keep recycling the same formulas, or should they take more risks and try new things? Where do you stand on this?

I think in the world of cinema, especially recently, "action explosions" have hit us like a tsunami, even in Turkey. Those visually explosive endings that feel like the end of the world seem to captivate all of us. For example, in this era where we're brainwashed by a Netflix frenzy, consuming Hollywood's award-winning formulas of "the hero saving the day single-handedly" is just like eating fast food: it gives you a quick high but doesn’t satisfy you in the long run. For me, when I go to the cinema, the first thing I look at is the **script**, because it saves me as much as the characters do. For instance, a recent indie film I watched ("The Father," for example) had a script that, along with the actor’s performance, put the audience through a chair-dancing experience. In this age where we're tired of marketing noise, when producers stick to the same old patterns, it feels less like competition and more like copying. They don’t take risks, but they still want a piece of the success pie—so we need to try new flavors. Otherwise, cinema might turn into a fast-food chain in the future, and not a very healthy one at that.
