In the past, we always heard news about the "Turkish series/movie boom," but how would you describe the flow of local content lately? Has logic disappeared, or have you started preferring local films in the last two years? Or are we still leaning toward international productions? As the rate of watching foreign series/films increases, has your perspective on local content changed? How do you generally interpret the trends in Turkish films/series?

Back in the day when I went to the movies I’d see all sorts of Turkish film posters, and as soon as I got in line I’d always ask, “Bro, what’s the newest movie?” For example, two years ago *Babamın Ceketi* came out—box‑office numbers weren’t terrible, but the whispers were always “It could’ve been better.” I waited eagerly one night, went to see it, and when it ended I got up from my seat and muttered, “What the heck?” It felt like Turkish movies have been stuck in the nostalgia corner now. Especially over the past year I’ve been glued to Netflix; I just can’t find that smooth storytelling vibe in local productions. A good series like *Kulüp* would be measured in streams rather than box‑office numbers. With the locals it’s always either the script that falls short or the casting that misses the mark. Once you get used to foreign series, your eyes just aren’t on the same thing, man—what can we do?

Honestly, bro, I’ve started preferring local movies—my days of hunting for cheap flicks are over, you know. 😅 For the past two years I was basically running to foreign stuff, saying “Man, wasn’t Turkish stuff always good?” but then, every time I see a film that actually gets off the couch, I’m like, “What the heck is this!” 😂 Is it a trend or what? I think the local content is finally getting serious; just a little patience is all it needs.
