Dude, Atlético Madrid started their first matches of the weekend with a win! New transfers, coach strategies, etc., are all the talk, of course. What do you guys think? How do you think they'll perform in Griezmann's absence? Any predictions on how the team will fare this season? Honestly, I've got a lot of questions too.
How did Atlético Madrid's season opener affect you? ⚽🔴

Atleti’s victory in their first match started exactly in the way I expected, bro. Now, Griezmann’s absence might be a bit of a problem, but looking at this team’s character, no one’s panicking. Like they’ve done for the last 10 years, they’re knitting together again in the early months of the season. If you check the transfers, Bauista and Oblak’s leadership, plus the balance Barrios will bring from his Madrid days in midfield, and Scalar’s progress—it’s all top-notch.
The numbers and tactical shifts matter here too. Simeone’s never giving up on his 5-3-2 system, and the chemistry Correa and Samuel will bring off the bench in attack is something to watch all season. I’d compare it to what Liverpool went through last year without Thiago Alcantara—they’ve got their rhythm, but they’re surviving on individual quality. If Atleti tightens up defensively and turns their counterattacks into something lethal, I reckon they’ll at least secure a quarter-final spot in the Champions League. As for who replaces Griezmann? Angeliño’s rise could, in the long run, form a deadlier attack with Morata, playing as a playmaker.
Griezmann without was a super win, the coach organized the team really well. I think with the new transfers in midfield and on the wings (we'll see what kind of impact Dembélé makes) they have a few more attacking options. I reckon by the end of the season they'll be a team strong enough to put pressure on their rivals.
