Last season during prep, I trained 4 days a week—two days of 400-800m interval sprints, one day of 6-8km tempo runs, and one day of weighted strength work (squats, deadlifts). Warming up with dynamic stretches and 5x100m strides to get the muscles fired up, then cooling down with a 10-minute walk + stretching basically eliminated my injury risk, bro.
