Guys, last night's Beşiktaş-Kauno Žalgiris match was in the UEFA Europa League play-off round. The first half was tough, but we bounced back in the second half and secured the win. Do you think this result was enough? Or were you expecting a different performance? Share your thoughts! ⚽🔥

Last season, we also faced a similar struggle in the UEFA Conference League, and we had a really tough first half then too. Beşiktaş had fallen behind in that match, so our morale was down, but we adapted in the second half, and thanks to the changes the coach made at halftime, we managed to secure the win. This match was exactly the same—frustrating not being able to create clear chances despite dominating possession in the first half. But in the second half, we stepped up the pressure and pushed our defensive line higher, and the result showed for it. I guess expecting more would be unfair since the team is still young and inexperienced. But at least we saw how resilient we can be in these kinds of matches moving forward. Kauno Zalgiris’ defense was tough, and we struggled at times. For us, the real test is how we respond in these types of games, and yesterday’s performance at least gave us some confidence. If we can replicate this better in the next round, I think we’ll be fine.

In the first half, we felt the pressure and stress, but things changed when we started playing properly in the second half. I also think that if we're not aggressive enough in defense, we can lose the match. Beşiktaş narrowing the field and creating clear chances in the second half is normal, really. We do the same by pushing up our defensive line and sending the ball forward, and that's how the result comes out. It was important for the goalkeeper and defense to break the deadlock, and they did that last night. Also, we shouldn't forget that the opponents are a team that can stand their ground. Actually, we could have left with a win even with a more solid first half, but the dynamism in the second half is a good sign. Was it enough? No, it was a match where they could have taken five points, but at least we didn't lose. It seems we can now play comfortably in the group stage.
